Benefits of a server with SSD
If an SSD RAID is used in a server, some of the positive features, such as the robustness of the new flash storage medium no longer play any role. What advantages do I have in a server with SSD?
First of all, the I/O performance of the root server with SSD is much higher compared to SATA hard drives. Because of the high I/O performance of SSD hard drives (94,000 IOPS) the server works faster and more smoothly than before. Those needing a dedicated server which will perform the numerous processes and administration at the same time should, at the very least, consider leasing such a server with SSD. Furthermore, the dedicated server with SSD impresses with better performance, flexibility and temperature conditions.
While the core temperature of a dedicated server with a SATA/HDD hard drive is about 50° C, a dedicated server with SSD registers a tolerable approx. 30° C. Use of a root server with SSD is especially advantageous if larger projects which require their own databases must be executed.
